A Festival & Zombie Walk for local artists, authors, vendors, and exhibitors of the Horror, Paranormal, Science Fiction and Comic Book genre

Wondering what to do this haunt season?  Look no further than the Night Risers (Horror, Art, Comic Con) Izzy’s  Little Creepers Haunted Attractions and Events will present Night Risers on Oct 28 and 29, 2017, at the Pritchard Community Center here in Elizabethtown.  There will be many events, such as the Monster Motorcycle Ride, paranormal investigations, Zombie Walk (Oct 27), a brain eating competition, and costume contest.

Building on 2012’s Zombie Fest (formerly Elizabethtown Zombie Fest), Izzy’s Little Creepers wanted to make the event bigger and better. As the event title indicates, there will be celebrities, vendors, artists, and exhibitors. Keeping with the trend of zombies and ghosts, participants can join in as zombies during the Zombie Walk on Friday, October 27, from 6-7pm as part off the Night Risers kick off party hosted by the Bourbon Barrel Tavern.

Event organizers, John Thompsett and Terri Pfeiffer, created the Zombie Fest to help benefit charities. This year’s event will benefit local non-profit/charity organizations including Feeding America Kentucky Harvest, and Warm Blessings. Each organization will receive a portion of proceeds from a designated event, such as the Monster Motorcycle Ride, a silent auction, donations, sales, and event admission. For example, event goers may receive a discount of $1 for each food item (up to two items) off a regular priced ticket. All food collected will go to Feeding America Kentucky Harvest.

There will be entertainment as well at the Night Risers (Horror, Art, and Comic Con) There will be a Viva! Dead Elvis performance Saturday (Oct28), and  magic shows by Aaron Harp will be performed on Sunday (Oct 29).

We are continuing Cosplay this year, which compliments the comic con portion of the event.

If you always wanted to go on a ghost hunting trek, Night Risers will be offering paranormal investigations at the Morrison Lodge on Saturday night. There will be one investigation Saturday night for up to 40 people for an additional fee.

The silent auction will take place Saturday and Sunday, as we have numerous items, with portions of the proceeds going to Warm Blessings. The Monster Motorcycle Ride will be Sunday (weather permitting) from 10-11am. Registration for the ride is from 9am-10am. Portion of proceeds from bike ride admission to benefit Operation Resilient Warrior.

So come out to Night Risers Horror, Art, Comic Con & Zombie Walk for a weekend of frighteningly good fun!
